Leon Huderson Obituary
He was born in New Orleans on November 25, 1958. After graduating from Carver High School, he went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Navy. Leon was an aviation technician for 19 years and also a certified chef. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, reading, music, and chess.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Tony A. Huderson and Elvira Van Buren Huderson.
He is survived by his companion of 17 years, Joyce E. Davis; daughter, Stacy Simfouki; sons, Leon D. Huderson, Jr., Tony A. Huderson, II, and Jason A. Huderson; sisters, Rachel Huderson Scott, Phebe Huderson Poydras, and Stephanie Huderson St. Cyr; brother, John Huderson; brother-in-law, James Scott; three grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in the parlor of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10 AM until 12 PM. Following the visitation, Leon will be laid to rest in the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana, at 2 PM.
