Leon William LeFlore

Leon William "Poochie" LeFlore, 76, of Buchanan, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.W. LeFlore and Janie Lee Wilson LeFlore; and a brother, Lemel LeFlore. Poochie was a U S Navy veteran and a hardworking provider who loved God, his family, and his churches, Victory Independent Baptist Church in Roanoke and Valley View Baptist Church in Buchanan.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Stella Sparks LeFlore; daughters and sons-in-law, Stalisha Harris, Sheree and Curtis Robinson, Vanessa and Gregory Wade, Melissa Dooley, Sheena and Andrew Moran, and Chasity and Nick Kern; sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Terri Sparks, Anthony Sparks, and Brian LeFlore and Christie Lockhart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Della LeFlore, Yvonne and Barnard Jeffries, Mary Jane and Steven Hayes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Angela Miller, Earl and Hope Wilson, and Thomas and Gaynell LeFlore; twenty-six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Valley View Baptist Church in Buchanan with the funeral service beginning at 1 pm with Pastor Daniel Boone officiating.
