Leon Mackiewicz Obituary
Leon M. Mackiewicz passed away on March 3, 2026 at the age of 74. Beloved son of the late Leo and Mary Mackiewicz (nee Nowicki). Leon is survived by his brother Michael Joseph Mackiewicz, many cousins, dear friends and neighbors. Leon worked for General Accident Insurance Company for almost 30 years. He was an active parishioner of St. John Cantius parish in the Bridesburg community. He loved to spend his time down the shore. Leon grew up working his summers in Wildwood, NJ and then later spending his time on the beaches of Avalon, NJ. Leon will be dearly missed by his family and his neighbors.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday March 12, 2026 beginning at 10am at St. John Cantius Chapel, 4412 E. Thompson St. Phila., PA 19137. His funeral mass will begin at 12noon. Interment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leon's memory to St. John Cantius Church, 4415 Almond St., Phila., PA 19137 or to DeSales University, desales.edu.
