Leon Pate

Leon "Blue" Pate, age 83, of Hot Springs, died Monday, June 18, 2012. He was born on October 22, 1928 in Hot Springs, the son of Lon D. Pate and Ruth Marie Keith Pate. On December 28, 1965, he was married to Florence L. "Flo" Brewer, who preceded him in death on December 5, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Leon was a self-employed painter. He is survived by three daughters, Kelly Prentiss of Missouri, Sue Sexton of Magnet Cove and Veta Addison of Hot Springs; two grandchildren; and one sister, Clara Fern Pate of Hot Springs. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 22, 2012 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Robert Reed officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home Hot Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening. Pallbearers will be Steve Sexton, David Dockery, Landon Dockery, Ray Hankins, Timothy Tague and Austin Price. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
