Leon Wuensche went to be with his heavenly father on October 28, 2024. He was born in Spring, TX on January 21, 1938 to the late Lorenz and Ida Wuensche. He attended Trinity Lutheran School, through 8th grade and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith the same year he graduated. He then attended and graduated from Carl Wunsche High School.
He married the love of his life, Alice, on December 5, 1959. They were faithfully married for almost 65 years. Together they had 4 children, and they spent their days growing vegetables on their family farm. He also loved taking care of his cattle. He reguarly attended church and was always ready to talk about Jesus; he loved sharing his faith and proclaiming Jesus's love.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister, Vernae Mae Peacock. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Wuensche, his sister Gerte Mae Haverland, his loving daughter Teresa Trull and son-in-law Al, his son Tim Wuensche and daughter-in-law Shanna, his son Bill Wuensche and parter Craig Campbell, his son Bobby Wuensche and daughter-in-law Avis, 13 grandchildren (Stacie, Brittany, Ashley, Amber, Joshua, Joseph, Hannah, Tabitha, Tiffany, Meghan, Abigail, Jonathan, Michaela) and 13 great-grandchildren (Kaydence & Lylah, Piper & Avery, Kalen & Brooklyn, Sutton & Saige, Presley & Beckham, Zoey, Thomas & Esme).
Dad, Papa will be greatly missed as he was the most god fearing, loving, and strong willed patriarch of our family. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy that was instilled in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is no longer suffering in this world, but now rejoicing with his father in Heaven.
Memorial Contributions can be made in Leon's name to Trinity Lutheran's Restoring Hope Food Pantry.
