Funeral services for Leona Kidd, age 96, of Gadsden, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Brother Jeff Sauls officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until time of service. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
Mrs. Kidd passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Cherokee County Health and Rehab. She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Kidd; son, Larry Kidd; parents, Gordon L Bryan and Violet Elrod Bryan; sister, Ann Bryan; brothers, Roland Bryan and Charles Bryan.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Randall Kidd (Laura Posey), Stanley Kidd (Sharon); grandchildren, Adam Kidd (Valerie), Andrea Brown (Kenny), John Bryan (Becca) Kidd, Paul Griffin (Kelsey) Kidd; great-grandchildren, Caroline Kidd, Kodi Brown, Jackson Brown, Emily Brown, Maggie Kidd, Benjamin Kidd, Carter Kidd, Collin Kidd, Avery Badtram; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Leona was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Kidd was the oldest living Alumni of Gaston High School, she will be deeply missed.
Pallbearers will be Adam Kidd, Kenny Brown, Jackson Brown, Paul Kidd, John Kidd, and Mike Hunt.
