To Leona's Family,
We were so very sorry to hear the sad news that Leona passed away. Our deepest sympathy to all of you in your great loss of a beautiful Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Tom and Leona were classmates at Notre Dame in Mitchell - many years ago. He has many fond memories of Leona, Lee and your Dad from the "good old days". We know how much you all will miss her but she will be with you always - in your hearts. Our love and prayers to all.

Family of Leona, I am so sorry for your loss at this sad time. Please know I care and extend my deepest sympathy to all of you. Have very fun and fond memories of your folks in the "Good 'Ole Days" My goodness we had great times. Your folks were the Best! I know how much you will miss your mother.

I met Leona when I was a teenager and she was a young Mother of three children--I lived with Leona and Tom for a Summer and was a "Nanny" or an "au pair", although neither of those labels were widely used at the time. . . I came to be very fond of the whole family--Leona,Tom,Gloria,Kenny,and Baby Janet. But it was Leona's influence that stayed with me---her role-modeling of how to be a Mother,a grown-up,a homemaker,all stayed with me. But what stayed with me the most was the fact that Leona was a Nurse--I was incredibly interested in,"How do you DO that??",not just where do you go to school,but what really makes you a Nurse? I went on with my Life,got married, gradually went through a diploma program,had children,then earned a BS in Psychology,then a BSN. All the while,my mental image of Leona's calm,good-humored, honest,direct,competent persona guided me in "how to be a Nurse". I recently retired from a 30+ year career in Oncology,Psychiatric,and Administrative Nursing. Some people just come along at the right time of your Life to really have an impact---Leona,that's what you did for me. Thank you.

Dear Pflepsen Family,
We grieve with you in your loss of your Mom. She will be greatly missed by all of us. She had such a fun and loving spirit. God has no doubt shared a few good laughs with her already in Heaven.

So sorry to hear about your mom - Grandma, I so enjoyed both of your mom and Dad, they were so kind to me and my boys that love the Gamble store, that where one of the kids got their first BB gun, what I recalled about your mom one morning I was on a walk and she was outside we visited over an hour, about everything , since my love of horses was a part of me we talk about her love of horses, she will truly be miss ,a very real down to earth lady, very special to me, Family you have my deepest sympathy, god bless you all.
