Leonard E. Bergmann

Leonard E. "Lennie" Bergmann (1938-2010) WATERLOO- Leonard E. "Lennie" Bergmann, 72, of Waterloo, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of emphysema and COPD. He was born July 20, 1938 in Waterloo, the son of Leo and Geraldine Thieman Bergmann. He married Sharron Lykins on May 31, 1958 in Waterloo. He was with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for thirty-six years, retiring in January 1993. Survivors include his wife, Sharron; three sons, Tim of Cedar Rapids, Ted and Tod of Waterloo; a brother, Roger (Candy) Bergmann of West Salem, WI; two nieces, Tracy (Craig) Lorenzen of Overland Park, KS, and Carrie (Chris) Langan of Sparta, WI; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Earl) Jacobson of Waterloo; and a nephew, Chad Jacobson of Waterloo. Preceded in death by his parents and a nephew. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with private family inurnment prior to services in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
