Leonard Burros Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sommerville Funeral Services - Akron on Jun. 26, 2024.
Leonard Lee Burros 67 took his final rest on June 21, 2024. He was born on June 4,1957 in Akron, OH, the son of Glady (Miller) Ervine and Robert Burros.
Leonard, affectionally known as Lenny or Boston attended West Jr. High and Buchtel High School in Akron, OH. After High School Lenny relocated to Houston, Texas and made this his residency until returning to Akron in 2023. While in Houston Leonard completed a commercial dry wall apprenticeship and did carpentry work for some time. Following that he obtained his CDL Licenses and became a truck driver and drove for over twenty years with various companies and the Port of Houston. Lenny had a love for motorcycles Harleys in particular, souped up loaded pickup trucks, nice clothes, cowboy hats, sharp cowboy boots and the finer things of life. Lenny was the epitome of style and grace. He was a fly and dapper guy with a great personality that had a deep love for his family and friends. Lenny was beacon of light and brought laughter to everyone he'd encountered. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back if anyone needed it. His infectious laugh and sense of humor always would brighten up any one's day. Even with his trials, and continued challenges with his health in life his famous saying was" I won't complain"! Lenny's unwavering faith in Christ Jesus always brought him through the most difficult challenges in life and he still managed to have a million-dollar smile in spite of it all and an upbeat personality!
Lenny is preceded in death by his father, Robert Burros; mother, Glady(Miller) Ervine; sister, Brenda Ervine(Greer).
He is survived by siblings, Patricia (Patty) Miller, Priscillia French; brother, James Ervine, Minnie Ervine; special cousins that's like siblings, Donna Ruth Dowdell and David Burros. Lenny also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family, and countless friends to cherish his loving memory.
