My mother died when I was 13.
My father sent me to live with my Grandmother for the summer. That´s where I first met Lenny. He would come to grandmas to pick up his future bride, my aunt Alice.
When he picked Alice up for a date (dinner and a movie).
Lenny suggested to invite me to come on their date. He would always come to take
Alice swimming and invited me to go.
Lenny was one of the kindest people I´ve ever met. He cared about a 13 year old boy who´s heart was broken over the loss of his mother.
I love you uncle Lenny. May you rest in piece.

Talk about a sports enthusiast I remember some years ago Len myself and Ira got into a major discussion about the New York Yankees and of course New York Mets. I have zero knowledge about baseball but Len and Ira opened the encyclopedia book and quoted every possible detail about the two teams. Then the subject turned to Yogi Berra...WOW, the room lit up. A most unforgettable moment. Len will be deeply missed. Our love to the family.
