My condolences and prayers goes out to the family members of Leonard (Pumpkin) Hunter. Pumpkin as I affectionately called him was a cousin of mine. My fondest memory of my cousin comes from growing up as a boy. Pumpkin lived at the time on Williams and I lived on Main Street. He served as the mentor for every boy in the neighborhood. Every boy in the neighboor knew him.
He taught all of us boys how to play one sport or another. There wasn't a sport that he couldn't play. As our mentor he passed that knowledge down to all of us who had the desire to learn.
I will always remember my cousin because of him. I learn how to play football and run track. Cousin "REST IN PARADISE" Body to the Earth , Spirit to the Heavens.
