Leonard Miles Krauss

Leonard M Krauss, 86, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on Friday, March 20th, 2026.

Leonard was born August 14, 1939 on the family farm in Sligo, PA. to Jacob M. Krauss and Dorothy Porter Krauss.

Mr Krauss graduated from Union Joint High School in Clarion County, PA in May of 1957.

He served in the US Armed Forces until 1968.

Leonard was married on December 23rd, 1965 to Shirley Himes Krauss (preceded on May 16, 2019) in Clarion, PA.

Mr and Mrs Leonard Krauss moved to High Point, NC in the early 70's to raise their family.

Mr Krauss enjoyed hunting, raising rabbits, gardening and making jewelry.

In 2003, Leonard retired from working as a public employee with Public Works of North Carolina. Soon after, he and his wife Shirley moved to Florida.

He was an active member of the Community United Methodist Church of Fruitland Park for many years until moving to Leesburg, FL where he attended services with the First Baptist of Leesburg at his place of residence.

Leonard is survived by a sister Shirely, a son and family and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
