Doug,

We are sorry for your lost. Lonnie and I were friends for many years. Not only did we work togather but we socialized also. Christmas 2006 Lonnie spent the day with my family and I. Just one of many memories we have of him

Dear Doug,

I am so sorry to hear about Lonnie's passing. Lonnie and I are very old friends, we worked together and played together. I am so happy that I did get a chance to talk to him, several times before he passed. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our hearts go out to those who loved and were closest to Len, Jr. His father was my employer at Friden in Roanoke many years ago. My wife is the reporter who did a story in the Times about the family's sailboat at the lake, way back in the late 60s.
Doug, we remember you, and want you to know our prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Doug, Jessica, and Marshall,

What a wonderful tribute to Lonnie. I am so sorry for your loss and want you to know that you are in my prayers.

After reading his remembrance, I realized I have a connection to Lonnie. The names of three of his dogs have special meaning for me, as does his love for basset hounds. I lost an uncle this year to cancer and it has been a very difficult loss, but he loved bassets as well (owned two of them) and spoiled them rotten! Whenever I see them, I immediately think of him and it always makes me smile. I hope you'll find them to be comforting reminders of Lonnie as well. Also, my cousin has two daughters, one named Cloie and one Sadie. And their family dog is Maggie! Thank you, Lonnie, for bringing a smile to my face today in such an unexpected way. May you rest comfortably in God's arms.

I enjoyed working with Mr. Pick and loved to talk politics with him. I also enjoyed talking with him about current events. He will be greatly missed.
