Leonard Rashky, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 30, 2025, at home in Lady Lake, FL. Len was born November 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Sam Rashky and Dorothy Wax.

Len graduated from Tuley High School in Chicago. He worked at the family restaurant Sam's Truck Stop. Len joined the USA Air Force in 1964. Len earned the rank of Staff Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1968. During Len' s Air Force service he was awarded Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Service Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Len was first married to Hope and had two sons Joseph and Gerald. Len attended DeVry Institute for Carrier AC and other studies.

Len first met Arlene M Gottardi during the early 70's and reconnected long after their divorces in the early 90's. Len and Arlene were married December 31, 1992 and lived in Clive, Iowa. They bought a house in Des Moines, Iowa. Len retired as a short haul truck driver before moving with Arlene to Lady Lake, Florida to be closer to family.

Arlene and Len liked to travel and their favorite trip was to London and Paris. Len and Arlene were avid collectors of coins, stamps, and trains, and other things of their interest. Len's eldest sister Elaine Stein passed away before him in 2023.

Len is survived by his two sons Joseph and Gerald, and his stepson Oscar Gottardi, sister Sandy Mele, niece Dena Hein and her husband Chris Hein, and their two sons Scott Hein and Kevin Hein. Len's wife Arlene Rashky passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 30, 2025. They are no longer in pain and they are together forever. LOVE
