Phyllis and family: Craig and I are sorry to hear of Mel's passing. We enjoyed seeing you this year at the Great Race and Mel looked SO GOOD. What a happy couple you have always been! We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers and know that the Lord will provide you with comfort during this time.

Dear Rauton family,
I just came back to town and heard of Mr Mel's passing.
I grew up in Dorway Baptist and I cannot remember a time when Mr Mel was not always helping to make things go well at the church by opening his heart or his purse. He was always considerate of others and when I returned to Charleston after many years away, he remembered me kindly. He was a good man and one of my "star ideals." God Bless You All!
In Christian Love,

Phyllis, We are so sorry to hear this. We always looked forward to seeing the "twins" at the reunions. Doug was fond of both of them. It won't seem right at all not having Mel with us anymore. God is good and a source of comfort if we allow Him to be. You are in our prayers. Take care and we hope to see you again at the next reunion.
