Leonard Thomas "Tom" Reeves, II

Mr. Leonard Thomas “Tom” Reeves II, age 78, of Mount Airy passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, NC. He was born in Surry County June 12, 1947, the son of the late Leonard Thomas and Beulah Deatherage Reeves. Mr. Reeves was a commercial airline pilot, having retired from US Air. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and member of the Ararat Masonic Lodge where recently he received his 50-year pin. Mr. Reeves was also a professional musician, having played in many bands and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons; Wesley E. Myers and Leonard Thomas Reeves III (Julie); grandchildren, Abby Reeves, Everett Reeves, Ashtyn Myers, Weston Myers; brother, Doug Reeves (Karen). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Wheeler Reeves. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev. Billy Clayton Smith officiating. Graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. A visitation will be held on Friday after the graveside at the home of his brother, Doug Reeves, 560 Old US 52 South, Mount Airy, NC 27030. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the Reeves family.
