Cardinal Funeral & Cremation Services, LTDLeonard Dale Schlicker Jr., 59, passed away on March 21, 2026.
Leonard, also known as Lenny, was born in Willoughby, Ohio, to Leonard Dale Schlicker Sr. and Ruth L. Johnson. He was known for his humor, sarcasm, kindness, generosity, and unwavering loyalty as a friend.
Lenny shared a loving life with his devoted domestic partner, Sol Diana Ralat. He is survived by his beloved children, Brooke Ruth Schlicker and Brett Leonard Schlicker, whom he loved more than life; his mother, Ruth Johnson; his sisters, Lisa, Julie and Cher; his cherished fur baby, Cinco, as well as his nieces and nephews.
Lenny had a competitive spirit and found great joy in playing disc golf and pickleball. He was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and rarely missed a chance to support them. He was always the first to lend a helping hand to family and friends in times of need. In his later years, he especially loved vacationing in Puerto Rico, a place that brought him peace and happiness, particularly when shared with his children Brooke and Brett as well as his beloved dog, Cinco.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cardinal Funeral Home, 7715 US Highway 14, Crystal Lake, Illinois 60012 (815-451-9040).
Lenny will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
