Sorry for your loss. I remember visiting at your house, and Dennis playing and smiling and laughing with the rest of us kids. Uncle Ted and Dennis ofter came to visit at my Mom and Dad's house also. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Dear Friends, You all hold a special place in my heart, filled with wonderful childhood memories, to teenage memories, to raising our children. You are family. How blessed we are that we come from parents who put family first. Your Mom always did that. I can see her smiling face,and always remembe a kind, caring woman, who spoke softly. How touched I was when I visisted her in the hospital, and when I told her who I was , she said Hi Elaine. I will always remember that. She had a tear run down her left eye, and I wiped it with my fingers, and held it tightly in my hand. I thank her, for such great friends that she gave all of us Nowakowski's. Four generations of friends is something to brag about. Love to you all, Elaine

Leonora Carrington has inspired me more than any other artist in my life. Her legacy is beyond words, as befits a master of visionary truth. I will treasure her paintings in her books, and hope to be even a tenth of the great artist that she was. Rest eternally in a studio and world of your own wondrous making Ms Carrington. A great lady of the canvas.

She made "crones" (hairy chins and all..) delightful in "The Hearing Trumpet". Our book club was moved by the incredible fantasy.
Her respect and depiction of animals in art is awesome.(Horses in particular.)
I feel we have lost a visionary and unique woman. Thank goodness her legacy is vast and appreciated around the world.
I have learned from her courage to be who you are meant to be; always exploring the soul to the bitter end.

Leonora's great friend Andre Breton said "Freedom is the only word that still sings to me." She lived her life and practiced her art in tune with that music.
