Leopoldo Wong Oseguera

Leopoldo Wong Oseguera, age 64, of Antioch, California passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in his home surrounded by his family.

Leopoldo was born on December 8, 1960 in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico to Leopoldo and Elsa Oseguera. He grew up in Uruapan and then moved with his family to Oakland, California. Leopoldo grew up playing soccer, playing the trumpet in La Banda de Guerra Aldama and delivering newspapers as a child. He worked many different jobs before starting a 37 year long career at Chevron Refinery in Richmond.

He married Maria Isabel on February 1, 1986, and together they shared 39 wonderful years raising their three daughters. From taking them on day trips, cruise vacations and Disneyland, to coaching their sports activities, Leopoldo and Maria created many cherished memories for their daughters to hold on to.

Leopoldo enjoyed watching sports, especially his Oakland Raiders, Oakland Athletics and Golden State Warriors. Not only did he volunteer for the Chevron Fire Brigade, he was also involved as a steward for the union where he ensured that his colleagues were treated fairly. Leopoldo will be remembered for the kindness and generosity he gave to those around him. His lessons to always do your best and to count on family were always something he shared with his daughters, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Leopoldo is survived by his wife Maria Isabel, daughters - Jessica Martinez (Jose), Kristina Oseguera (Jake), and Monica Alvarado (Humberto),and those that made him a grandfather - Dominic Robar, Julianna Martinez, Gabriela and Leopoldo Alvarado, Alexis Martinez, Jose Martinez, and Jax Richey. He is also survived by his father, Leopoldo Oseguera, brother Jose Oseguera and sister Soyla Madrigal and many nieces and nephews. Leopoldo was preceded in death by his mother, Elsa Oseguera.
