LeRoy Clark Anderson, age 84, of Alexandria, MN passed away peacefully at home under the care of hospice with family by his side on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
LeRoy was born on October 28, 1939, in Graceville, MN to Clark and Clara Augusta Menge Anderson. He was raised in Wheaton, MN and attended school in Wheaton graduating in 1957.
LeRoy married Jo Ann Drinkwitz in 1961. They had two children, daughter Dawn (Jeff) Deal and son Darby Anderson. They divorced in 1977. LeRoy moved to Alexandria, MN and in 1980 LeRoy married Evonne Goodwalt Anderson.
LeRoy worked his earlier life in the plumbing field and later he operated dozers and backhoes in the road construction business until he retired.
After retirement, LeRoy enjoyed golf, and in the winter, you could find him on the lake in his spear house. He enjoyed hunting during deer season on his son-in-law’s property. He loved to watch western movies on TV (over and over and over!).
In 1996 LeRoy and Evonne started wintering in Arizona and they met many friends at High Chapparal RV/Mobile Home Park. LeRoy could usually be found cruising the park on his golf cart.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Sam and Rosella Goodwalt; and two brothers-in-law Ray Raguse and Gerald Best.
LeRoy is survived by his wife Evonne; daughter Dawn (Jeff) Deal; son Darby Anderson; grandchildren Josh (Angela) Deal, Sara (Greg) Woolsey, Liam Anderson; great grandchildren Brynn Heurung, Lincoln Peterson, Reed Deal, Dylan Woolsey; sisters-in-law Evelyn Raguse and Elayne Best; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton, MN at a later date.659 Voyager Drive NW, Alexandria, MN 56308
