ROCKVILLE-Leroy Leslie Games, 82, of Rockville, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute.
He retired from Ameritech in 1994 with 30 years of service. He was born October 12, 1943, in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Donald Games and Ruby Cassity Games.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Celeste "Ci Ci" Butler.
He is survived by a daughter, Christy (Jan) Games of West Lafayette; son, Jason (Amanda) Games of Rockville; brother, Charles Games of Mooresville; two sisters, Pam Robbins and Linda Stark of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren, Rachel and Tristan Schefke, Madison, Carter and Oliver Games, and Beckett Stemle; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Bonnie, Elsie, Marilene, Sally, Paul and Kenneth.
He was a 1961 graduate of Bainbridge High School. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving as a helicopter crew chief, receiving the National Defense medal, Vietnam Campaign and Service medal, Sharpshooter medal and Army Commendation medal. He was a member of American Legion Fellenzer Post 48, Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Taylor Post 1752, AMVETS Post 61 and Telephone Pioneers of America. He served for 20 years with the J.U.G.A. Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and going to auctions-especially the Rockville Sale Barn on Saturday mornings. He was active for many years with the Parke County veterans' honor guard.
Services will be 5:00 pm Monday December 1, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Keith B. McIntyre officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, with military honors conducted following services by Parke County veterans. Burial will be at New Maysville Cemetery in Putnam County at a later date.
Memorials, should friends so desire, may be made to a local veterans' organization of choice.
