Mr. Leroy L. Goode

Mr. Leroy Leonard Goode, 60, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at his residence, following a period of declining health.
Leroy was born on July 28, 1950 in McDowell County to the late Armenius and Eunice Faucette Goode. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church and was formerly employed by McDowell County Sheriff's Department and recently retired from J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Sally Faucette Carter and grandparents Thomas and Lela Faucette.
Survivors include his children Dawna Goode Ledbetter of Marion, Lerhonda Goode Shepard and husband Norris of Statesville, Consuela Goode of Morganton, Stephon Goode and wife Brenda of Creedmoor, Stephanie Goode Carson and husband Deorain of Valdese; his partner Linda Jolly, mother of the children Gail Connelly, grandchildren Brandon Ledbetter, Xavier Goode, Diawna Ledbetter, Chea Goode, LaQuisha Ledbetter, Dechealyn Goode, Briawna Goode, Corrinia Goode, DaQuann Shepard, Diomari Lynch; great grandchildren Sherece Ledbetter, Brandon Ledbetter Jr., Xashaun Goode, Emani Davis, Kamari Ledbetter. Also surviving are a special son Dion Lynch, special aunt Barbara Conley, brothers Tommy and wife Anne, Reginald of Marion, David and wife Renee of Trenton, NJ, and Pat Parks of Morganton, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
