Leroy Samuel Martin

Leroy Samuel Martin, 74, of Windsor, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 8, 1950, in St. Ann, Jamaica to Claudius and Florence Martin, Leroy grew up with strong values rooted in hard work, and family.
He attended Watsonville Elementary School in Riverhead, Moneague, St. Ann, and completed his education in Kingston. After school, he began a career in security, proudly serving as a senior security officer with the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation and later as part of the security detail for former Prime Minister P.J. Patterson.
Leroy met and fell in love with Ann Juliet Martin (formerly Palmer), and together they built a beautiful life and family, raising three children: Kevin, Craig, and Simone.
In 1994, Leroy migrated to the United States to reunite with family, where he continued to demonstrate the work ethic for which he was deeply admired. He worked as a forklift operator with Viking and Office Depot for more than 14 years, later joining FedEx and Foodshare, where he served another 15 years. He eventually took a position with Loomis Chaffee as a custodian, a role he carried out with dedication until his retirement in 2024. Leroy was known for his unwavering reliability - a man who was never late and never called out - and his example will be remembered by family, friends, and coworkers alike.
Leroy will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Ann Juliet; his children, Kevin (Ebony), Craig, and Simone; his grandson, Kavani; and a large circle of brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished him.
A visitation will be held on December 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., both at Destiny Church, 1601 Blue Hills Avenue, Bloomfield, Connecticut. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery.
