LeRoy Preisinger, 85, Minot, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025, in his home.
LeRoy. J. Preisinger was born on March 31, 1940, a son of John and Martha Preisinger in Turtle Lake, North Dakota. He was raised near Ruso and attended a country school in Ruso, ND.
LeRoy farmed alongside his father for a few years before moving to Bismarck, where he worked at Twin City Implement for 11 years. LeRoy moved to Mandan, where he worked at Farm & Home Supply.
On September 20, 1974, LeRoy was united in marriage to Linda Heinle. They made their home in Minot in September of 1984, where they managed the Ho Hum Motel for three years. LeRoy worked on his own for a while before starting to work at Home of Economy in the plumbing department. He faithfully served the customers for over 17 years until his retirement in 2009.
LeRoy was very talented musically. He played with the Dakota Boys for many years in the Bismarck area. After retiring he played in various nursing homes and was a member of the Frozen Fingers Association. In his later years he did a lot of jigsaw puzzles and word search puzzles. He also made scale model trains.
LeRoy is survived by his wife of 51 years: Linda Preisinger; sister, Ruth of Minot; brother-In-Law, Kenneth Wetzel of New Salem; Sister-In-Law, Gayla Heinle in Flasher; Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Susan and Edward Heinle; sister-in-law and her husband Carol and Harold Gomke, sister-in-law Janice Wetzel; brother-in-law Clyde Heinle.
A very special thank you to their niece Stephanie and Mark Swenson in Bismarck, North Dakota for all their help and thank you to the nurses who helped us make LeRoy's final days a little easier.
Visitation: Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from noon until service time in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
