Leroy Charles Prenoveau

Leroy Charles Prenoveau, age 80, of Palestine, Texas, passed away on Friday, the 24th day of February 2023, and is now in the presence of our loving Lord and Savior. Mr. Prenoveau was born on the 8th day of August 1942 in Plattsburgh, New York, to parents Gaston Prenoveau and Leila Pelkey Prenoveau.
Mr. Prenoveau was a local businessman in the community that he loved. He owned and operated Palestine Bowling Center for many years. He was a competitive bowler his entire life competing in numerous competitions on the local, state and national levels. He also competed in tournaments in Montreal, Canada. Not only was he a fantastic competitor but he also had a heart for teaching others good technique, bowling strikes, and love for the game.
Mr. Prenoveau was a Baptist by faith and was baptized many years ago in Austin, Texas. He loved the Lord and lived his life to one day live with Him in Heaven. Mr. Prenoveau was loved by many and will be sorely missed, especially in the bowling community.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gaston and Leila Prenoveau, son John Gary Fish, sister Una Moonay, and his brother, Larry Prenoveau.
Mr. Prenoveau leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years Jayne Prenoveau; daughter, Michelle Fortin and husband Eric of Peru, New York; sons, Dan Prenoveau and wife Rose of Buffalo, New York; Jeffery Prenoveau of Plattsburgh, New York; William Fish and wife Leslie of Sugar Land, Texas; and Steven Prenoveau and wife Sarah of Rouses Point, New York. He will also be dearly missed by his nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren whom he deeply loved.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening, on Saturday, the 4th day of March 2023 at Rhone Funeral Home.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Leroy Prenoveau is to be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 5th day of March 2023 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. David English officiating.
