Leslie Block Obituary
Leslie was a genuinely warm human being, possessing great grace and kindness. Leslie would always greet you with a smile and genuine compliment, make you laugh, and occasionally shock you with a saucy comment. In addition to a busy family life, Leslie was amazingly active in her local community. Leslie worked in Marketing for Power Distributors in Tualatin. She volunteered for the Sherwood Track programs, Cheerleading, Mt. Hood Ski Patrol wives, the Robin Hood Festival, the Portland Rock N Roll Camp for Girls and many, many more. She did all of this while nurturing and supporting her family. Paige is the Maid Marian Queen of the 2018 festival, as well as a state ranked track and field athlete. Dylan was a 2017 graduate of Sherwood High School and he is currently studying at Portland Community College.
Leslie will be greatly missed by her husband, Kirk; children, Dylan and Paige; mother, Shelia Dineen; brothers, Ray (Deuce) and John Miller; sisters, Lisa (Miller) Mork, Patsy (Miller) Dobbek and Melody (Miller) Fisher; father-in-law, Dick Block; mother-in-law, Susan Block, brother in law Greg Block and sister in law Tiffany Block. She was tremendously loved by her extended family, which includes half siblings, step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Many thanks for the excellent care provided by the nursing staff at Providence Portland St Vincent Medical Center; the love extended by friends, family, neighbors; support of Leslie and Kirk s coworkers at Power Distributors, Columbia Helicopter, and the Sherwood Community.

I've had the unique privilege to work with Leslie for some 4+ years both as a dealer and most recently as a Territory Manager for Idaho and Montana. In my current position Leslie was my go-to source for ordering and assisting my customers. Leslie was always extremely helpful but this extended beyond work and became a very special friendship as we visited. (On 3 occasions I was actually blessed to meet her in person at the Tualatin warehouse and experience her bright Christ-like countenance.) When I would ask about her family, I could see the beam in her eye's even through her words as she talked about her pride & joy. I especially enjoyed hearing about Paige's track experiences as I ran the same events in HS 40+ years ago. It was fun to hear Leslie's pride come through her words. Being a fellow Christian, this also made our conversations especially meaningful and tender. I'm blessed and bettered because of Leslie's friendship and I know we will meet again!!

In all my years of working with people across this country , Lesile is my favorite co-worker ive ever had. She was most kindness , hard working , most giving and thoughfull and caring person ive worked with in my life She will help anybody anytime. its was such a privledge and a joy to work right beside her for 2 and half years. She actually made me look foward to the drive from my place in Salem to the Job in Tualatin. I looked foward everyday just to hear her talk it was relaxing and uplifting. She treated me like a like i was part of her family always being supportive to me and my family. She made my relocation Oregon totally worth it , i would do it again in heartbeat if could. My deepest Condolences to Kirk and the Kids and to all her family and many friends , co-workers. God has brought home his newest Angel!!

I worked with Leslie for many years. She was the sweetest, most kind hearted person you could ever know. She had a smile that was contagious. We shared a lot of laughs and even shed a few tears over the years. I will miss answering the phone and hearing "Well hellooooo my friend!" My deepest sympathies to her family. She always doted on y'all. Someone so special can never be forgotten. You will be missed my friend.

I had the pleasure of working on and off with Leslie over the years, and grew very attached to her as she was a very special person with a very special personality.Even when she knew of the cancer you would never tell as she was always upbeat, and positive about life. Leslie was a Joy to work with! Although I never had the opportunity to meet her in person, her big personality shined through the phone! She always went the extra mile and helped where she could. She was just a just a special person that was blessed with the ability to lift others up! I know she will be missed by many.

I worked with Leslie from over 1000 miles away. She was always warm, friendly and professional. I will miss our conversations, however brief they were. She was truly a breath of fresh air in a hectic business environment. As a fellow cancer patient, i know what a family goes through and what the patient must endure. I never knew until her passing that she too was dealing with cancer. Her inner strength never allowed it to show. My condolences to her family on her loss.
