Leslie Bundy

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Leslie Bundy, 69, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday January 20, 2025, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel with Pastor Gary Miller officiating . Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home. 

Leslie A. Bundy was born July 15, 1955, to Carl and Maimie Wayman Bundy in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life January 14, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Enid attending Enid High School. He was Baptized at a young age at Davis Park Christian Church. At the age of seventeen he enlisted in the United States Navy, he served his country for three years in San Diego, the Philippines, Japan, and Australia honorably discharging as an E-4 January 23, 1976. He was a Golden Shellback, having crossed the the Equator at the Prime Meridian at the same time, a very rare honor. He married Cheryl Kitchen April 25, 1973, in Enid. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and later as an Equipment operator at Dolese. He then worked at Pilsbury for eleven years, he started with sweeping the floors and worked his way up to running the bulk plant. He then went to Truck Driving School, he then worked for American Freightways that is now FedEx. He later worked for Key Oilfield services and Otex until his retirement in 2018. He lived to fish, watch WWE wrestling , NASCAR racing, football and was a #1 Trump supporter. 

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Bundy, Of the home, his children, son Justin Bundy, daughter, Amber Bundy; grandchildren, Trenton Welch, Adrienne Bundy, Madyson Cook, Payton Bundy; one great grandchild, Arrianna Welch; two brothers, Darrell and his wife Jene Bundy and Floyd and his wife Lorri Bundy, all of Enid; and numerous other family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Maimie Bundy, one brother, Calvin Bundy and one sister Debie Toone. 

Memorials may be made in his honor to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans or St. Jude’s’s Children’s Hospital with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
