In Loving Memory of Leslie Kay Jensen (1961 – 2025)

With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Leslie Kay Jensen, who left us on September 10, 2025, at the age of 64.

Born on January 14, 1961, in Santa Monica, California, Leslie was the beloved daughter of Patrick and Karon McCann. From a young age, her bright spirit and determination shone through in everything she did.

Leslie grew up in San Diego and graduated with the Clairemont High School Class of 1979. A gifted athlete, she found joy and success running cross country and track - a passion she carried well beyond her school years. Even into adulthood, she continued to run in long-distance events, embracing the same drive and perseverance that defined so much of her life.

She broke barriers early, being the only girl in her high school drafting courses - a bold choice that led to exciting summer work at Planning Research Corporation, Navy Ocean Systems Center, and Stichler Design. It was at Stichler where she met the love of her life, Jerry Jensen. Together, they built not only a beautiful life, but also a shared love for creativity, enjoying countless craft projects and DIY adventures over the years.

Leslie earned a full scholarship to UCLA's School of Engineering, a reflection of her brilliance and ambition. She later completed her Bachelor's degree in Professional Studies and Fine Arts at SDSU, showing her deep appreciation for both the technical and artistic sides of life.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Karon McCann, and is survived by many who will forever cherish her memory:
Her devoted father, Patrick McCann, her beloved husband, Jerry Jensen, her siblings Michael McCann (Sherri) and Lynn Carswell (Kipp), and her four sons - Kyle (Ashley), Nicholas, Ryan (Lauren), and Colin.

Leslie also leaves behind four treasured grandchildren - Remy, Wyatt, Jack, and June - who lit up her world and will carry her love with them always.

Leslie's warmth, creativity, and quiet strength touched every life she encountered. Her family will forever miss her gentle heart, her infectious laugh, and the unwavering love she gave so freely.

She was, and always will be, dearly loved.
