This unexpected loss has left a deep and overwhelming void in our lives.  The time we had with her was far too short, and while our love and memories of her will always remain with us, they barely begin to fill the empty space she has left in our hearts. 

Leslie was born on August 5th, 1986.  She was the first-born child and daughter to her mother Tammy, and father Louis.  She was immediately loved beyond measure by everyone, but especially her mother, whose love, care, and concern for her wellbeing never wavered.  She was proud to be part of such a large, loving family.  She delighted in telling people that she had six sisters and eight brothers and cherished the relationships she had with each of them. Leslie’s family also extended beyond bloodlines, as she welcomed countless people into her heart, and loved them like they were her own.  

Leslie had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was easily amused, and her contagious laughter could brighten anyone's day. She had a special appreciation for watching people slip, trip, or fall (if you've ever had the pleasure of providing her with some of this comedic entertainment, you know exactly what I mean). It was not uncommon for her to laugh so hard that she cried (after making sure you were okay, of course).  She had a beautiful ability to find and recall funny moments, even in difficult times, and always managed to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those around her. Her ability to find happiness in the midst of pain will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Leslie was born with a kind and compassionate heart, and her empathy knew no bounds.  Her purpose was found through holding space for those who needed it and showing others they were not alone. Quietly carrying the burdens of her loved ones, as well as her own, she bravely sat in the darkness with others who were struggling to find their way forward in this life.  

There are no words to explain how much we will miss Leslie.  The world is darker now without her light, and we pray for those that share our grief.  We know the impact she made was great for all that knew her.  May our loss mean her peace. 

She is survived by her mother Tammy; her bonus mom Barbara; and her siblings Matt (Abby), Kyle, Kaydee (Eddy), Heather, Dawn, Julia (Terry), Jeremiah, Liz (Paul), Gabriel, Ariel (Kolby), Tom and Owen.   

She is preceded in death by her brothers Konnor and Jake, and her dad.

A celebration of her life will be held at 9455 S. 4800 W.  South Jordan, UT 84009

from 3:00 PM to 6:00PM (with a program from 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM)

A viewing will be held earlier in the day from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the same location.
