Lessie Liles, a spirited and loving soul, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at the age of 84 in Hugo, Oklahoma. Born on May 2, 1941, in New Mexico, Lessie was a beacon of friendliness and warmth throughout her life.

Lessie was the cherished daughter of Tom Harrison Donaghe and Shirley Dee (Tanner) Donaghe. She grew up in a home filled with love and laughter, which shaped her into the compassionate person she was. Her sister, Shirley Tommy Donaghe Ellis, shared many fond memories with Lessie, and though she preceded Lessie in death, the bond they shared remained unbroken. Lessie was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ilean (Liles) Bloodworth, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Lessie's legacy continues through her devoted son, David Liles Jr. (Shirley), of Hugo, Oklahoma. Her love and teaching are evident in the life and family David has built, a testament to the values she instilled in him. She is also survived by her sister, Jimmie Donaghe Baldwin of Odessa, TX; and two brothers, Tom Donaghe and wife Linda of Oklahoma City, OK, Ronney Donaghe and wife Shirley of Mexia, Texas; grandchildren include Trey Liles of Midwest City, OK, Brittany Liles Bloodworth and husband Jon of Tahelquah, OK, Timothy Bloodworth of Antlers, OK, and Sierra Sunshine Bloodworth of Antlers, OK.

Professionally, Lessie served as a State Cattle Inspector, a role that showcased her dedication and work ethic. Her contributions to the industry were significant, and she was highly respected by her peers. Lessie's Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength in times of need.

In her leisure time, Lessie was an avid reader, finding joy and solace in the pages of countless books. Her artistic talents were many; she painted beautiful canvases that reflected her keen eye for beauty and detail. Crocheting was another of her passions, creating intricate patterns that turned yarn into works of art. Lessie's sewing skills were unparalleled, as she crafted shirts, leather belts, and dresses for her family, each piece a labor of love and a cherished gift to those who received them.

Lessie's spirit was characterized by her boundless love and friendly demeanor. She had the rare ability to make everyone feel at home, and her presence was a source of comfort to all who knew her. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness knew no bounds. Lessie's impact on her community and the lives she touched will be felt for generations to come.

As we bid farewell to Lessie Liles, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Lessie's journey on earth may have ended, but her spirit continues to inspire us all.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Bill Darrough Pavilion in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences at www.mtolivefh.com.
