Lester Arnold Obituary
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Riverview Cemetery with Benny Archer officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Lester was born August 27, 1922 in Shaw, Mississippi to Lester and Delia Boren Arnold. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and took part in the Normandy Invasion. Lester married Ellen Josephine Massengale in 1951 in Woodson, Texas. The couple lived in Knox County, moving to Seymour in 1952. Lester worked in construction all his life, building everything from schools to houses. He was a member of the VFW. Lester loved to pitch horse shoes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen on October 27, 2006.
Survivors include his 3 sons, Jerry and LeAnn Arnold of Rhineland, Ricky and Beth Arnold of Wichita Falls and Terry Arnold of Seymour; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls or Faith Mission.
Visitation will be from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
