Les Bollinger Obituary

Les Bollinger, 74, of Monroeville, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025. He was the son of Sophie Bollinger and the late Warren Bollinger. Les was a graduate of Norwin High School and Edinboro University. He retired in 2014 from Westinghouse Nuclear with 41 years of service. Les is survived by his cherished wife, Sondra, his best friend with whom he would have celebrated 35 years of marriage on Nov. 10. He is also survived by his mother, Sophie; his brother, Craig (Sandy) Bollinger and his family; his cousin, Joe Kucic and his family; and his godchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous longtime friends. Les will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and patient man who never had a cross word for anyone, a true gentleman. He had a dry sense of humor but could put a smile on your face just by engaging in a short conversation. If you were fortunate enough to be his friend, you were his friend for life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially golf and fly fishing. In recent years, he experienced not always the best score or the largest fish, but the beauty of nature and sharing memories on either the 19th hole or around a campfire. All services were privately held on Nov. 8, 2025, at JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL), 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). I was a friend of Les all through Junior High and High School at Norwin. After High School we began our lives and went separate ways but kept in touch. I moved to Morgantown WV in the late 70's for work. Les and I played golf together on numerous occasions. He was a good man and a trusted friend and I will miss him dearly.
