Passed away on April 26, 2025 at the age of 95. Preceded in death by his parents John and Lottie Bondowski. Loving husband to Cheri Wogsland-Bondowski. Dear father to Joseph (Marisue) Bondowski and Mary (Jeff) Wiegert. Beloved grandpa to Daniel (Emily) Wiegert, David (Melanie) Wiegert, Abby Bondowski, Ashley (Nicholas) Weber, Taylor Krutina and great grandpa to Liam Wiegert, Olivia Wiegert, Rilee Weber, Noah Weber and Griffin Wiegert. Loving uncle to Shirley (Randy) Gorka, Thomas (Judy) Bondowski, Wayne (Annie) Slusar. Also survived by mother in law Pamela Wogsland, father in law Steven Wogsland, sisters in law Bonnie Wogsland, Edna Wogsland, Rena (Steve) Schmidt, brother in law Chadwick Wogsland, step-son Chuck (Mallory) Mueller, step-grandsons Gunner and Luca Mueller and speical friend Daniel Hoffmann.
He served in the 90th Field Artillery Battalion - 25th Infantry Division in the Korean War. He served from 1951 to 1953 in the Army attaining the rank of PFC. Through the years he has belonged to World Congress Concertina (inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1985), North Central Concertina, Accordion and Button Box Club (NEWCABB), North East Accordion Club, Jammer's Club, Tri-City Concertina Club, Shawano DAV Chapter 22, Manawa DAV Chapter 53 and the American Legion. He loved to play the concertina, checkers, Sheep's Head and gamble. He wrote two songs; Ah, Lovely Meadows and Japanese Twist. He started playing the conertina at the age of 17 and over the years managed to teach three very special people to play the concertina; Tyler Sawall, Cheri Wogsland and Benjamin Gaboda.
