Lester “Butch” McNutt, age 79, of Dover passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
He was born on March 3, 1944 in Dover, Ohio to the late Lester D. and Mary (Russell) McNutt.
Butch was a multi-talented man who loved to play guitar and banjo. He also enjoyed playing chess. His father was a minister, and Butch always loved going to church. In his younger years, he would go camping in the Smoky Mountains with his parents.
Butch is survived by his sisters, Pat Poole, and Paula (Randy) Corder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Thomas McNutt.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral and Crematory chapel where a memorial service honoring Butch’s life will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Leanna Roe officiating. Burial will follow in German Cemetery at Mineral City.
