Lester Nicol

Lester A. Nicol, age 100, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at his residence. He retired from Sears and Roebuck. Longtime member of Concordia Lutheran Church. He was a proud veteran of The United States Army, serving in World War II. Preceded in death by, wife of 71 years, Patricia, parents, Lewis and Anna Nicol, brothers, Harold, Luther and Willard Nicol, sisters, Florence Watkins and Marie Elsom, infant son, Larry. Survived by, daughter, Leslie (Pete) Liptrap, son, Scott (Ceci) Nicol, grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Gregg, Alyssa (Boomer) Albany, Joseph (Trisha) Liptrap, Jeffrey Liptrap and Brandon (Morgan) Nicol, great grandchildren, Brennan, Annie, Emma, Bryson and Penelope, sisters, Dorothy Burger and Lucille Eger, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and the Prairie Township Fire Department for their help and assistance over the years.

Friends may call at Concordia Lutheran Church, 225 Schoolhouse Lane, Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 10-11:30 AM where service will follow at 11:30 AM. Pastor Larry Kudart officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements have been completed with JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME of HILLIARD, 5471 Frazell Rd.
