Letha Marie Campbell, a beacon of unwavering faith and boundless love, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in
Otter Lake, Michigan. Born on January 27, 1938, in Ashland, Kansas, to George & Susie (Kennedy) Dorner. Letha's life journey was marked by her selfless nature and courageous spirit.
She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who were blessed to know her.
Her life was further enriched when she married her loving husband, Clifford Campbell, on March 31, 1955, in
Columbiaville, Michigan. Together, they built a life filled with love and dedication, a testament to their enduring partnership. Clifford crafted their family home with his own hands in 1956, a home that Letha would proudly inhabit for over six decades, filling its rooms with memories and laughter.
Throughout her life, Letha was an active and devoted member of Peoples Baptist Church in
Columbiaville, MI. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. Her commitment to her church and community was unwavering, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Letha's legacy is lovingly carried on by her children, Marie (Dale) Brown and Steven (Cuiyun Shi) Campbell; her brother, Clifford (Margaret) Dorner; her nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. She was a matriarch in the truest sense, her family a testament to the love and values she instilled in them. Letha was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Clifford, and siblings who have gone before her.
An avid reader, Letha found solace and adventure within the pages of countless books. Her garden was a source of joy and pride, a reflection of her nurturing soul. Birdwatching brought the beauty of nature to her doorstep, and she delighted in the simple pleasures it offered. Letha was also the family seamstress, her skilled hands crafting wedding dresses and garments that would become cherished heirlooms. Her talent was a gift she shared generously, sewing threads of love into the fabric of her family's lives.
Letha's life was one of simplicity, yet it was profoundly full. She loved spending time with her family, creating moments that would become precious memories.
