Leticia Alvidrez, died on November 6, 2025, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Born on September 21, 1963, in Cd Juarez, Mexico, Leticia's journey was one of faith, family, and an enduring sense of home.
Leticia was a devout member of St. Mary Catholic Churc.h Her dedication to the Virgin of Guadalupe was a cornerstone of her spiritual life, guiding her through life's challenges and celebrations. Leticia was a proud mother, wife, and grandmother whose heart was most content when surrounded by her loved ones. Daily cleaning was not just a chore for Leticia, but a ritual that brought peace and harmony into her household. Leticia's passion for cooking was legendary among family and friends. She was a Maestra in the kitchen, where she conjured up traditional tamales and menudo that were not only meals but expressions of her love and heritage. Her table was the center of many cherished family memories. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of God and the Virgin of Guadalupe she so devoutly honored.
She is survived by her Husband-Danny "Chuma" Alvidrez; Children-Adamaris (Alejandro) Alvidrez & Arlene (Alan) Alvidrez; Grandchildren- Olivia Camacho, Jaylah Camacho and Naveah Bonilla & Siblings-Nubia Janeth Mendoza, Sonia Elizabeth Mendoza, Dora Arcelia Mendoza & Maria Zulema Mendoza. She was preceded in death by her Mother-Felipa Mendoza Orquidez; Grandson-Alan Bonilla Jr. & Siblings-Jorge Armando Mendoza and Jose luis Mendoza
A Rosary will be held 5:00 pm Wednesday November 12, 2025 at Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Thursday November 13 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will be held 1:00 pm Friday November 14, 2025 at Valley View Cemetery of Garden City, Kansas. The family suggests memorials to the Leticia Alvidrez Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City KS 67846 620-276-3219
Leticia Alvidrez falleció el 6 de Noviembre de 2025 en el Centro Médico de la Universidad de Kansas en Kansas City, Kansas. Nacida el 21 de Septiembre de 1963 en Ciudad Juárez, México, la vida de Leticia estuvo marcada por la fe, la familia y un profundo sentido de pertenencia.
Leticia era una devota feligresa de la Iglesia Católica de Santa María. Su devoción a la Virgen de Guadalupe fue un pilar fundamental de su vida espiritual, guiándola tanto en los desafíos como en las alegrías. Leticia fue una madre, esposa y abuela orgullosa, cuyo corazón se llenaba de paz al estar rodeada de sus seres queridos. La limpieza diaria no era solo una tarea para Leticia, sino un ritual que traía paz y armonía a su hogar. Su pasión por la cocina era legendaria entre familiares y amigos. Era una maestra en la cocina, donde preparaba tamales y menudo tradicionales que no solo eran comidas, sino expresiones de su amor y herencia. Su mesa fue el centro de muchos recuerdos familiares entrañables. Que descanse en paz eterna, abrazada por el amor de Dios y de la Virgen de Guadalupe a quien tan devotamente honró.
Le sobreviven su esposo, Danny "Chuma" Alvidrez; sus hijas, Adamaris (Alejandro) Alvidrez y Arlene (Alan) Alvidrez; sus nietas, Olivia Camacho, Jaylah Camacho y Naveah Bonilla; y sus hermanas, Nubia Janeth Mendoza, Sonia Elizabeth Mendoza, Dora Arcelia Mendoza y María Zulema Mendoza. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Felipa Mendoza Orquidez; su nieto, Alan Bonilla Jr.; y sus hermanos, Jorge Armando Mendoza y José Luis Mendoza.
El Rosario se rezará el Miércoles 12 de Noviembre de 2025 a las 5:00 PM en la Funeraria Garnand de Garden City. La misa de funeral se celebrará el jueves 13 de Noviembre de 2025 a las 11:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María, oficiada por el Padre Jacob Schneider. El entierro tendrá lugar el viernes 14 de Noviembre de 2025 a la 1:00 PM en el Cementerio Valley View de Garden City, Kansas.
