Levi J.D. Herschberger

LEVI J.D. HERSCHBERGER, 86 years, 3 months, and 22 days, of Arthur, IL passed away at 3:20 A.M. on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the HCK West Building in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Raymond S. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 P.M. on Monday March 31, 2025, and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Levi J.D. was born on December 7, 1938, at the home place where he passed away in rural Arthur, IL. He was a son of John and Christina (Eash) Herschberger. He married Lizzie Ann Miller on October 27, 1960, in Arthur, IL. She passed away on May 10, 2018, they lived in Holy Matrimony, 57 years, 6 months, and 12 days.

Leaves to mourn his departure, two sons and two daughters, Wilbur married to Barbara Ann Miller, of Arthur, IL, Howard married to Dorothy Mae Jess of Arcola, IL, Ruth married to Howard Schrock of Arthur, IL, Wilma married to Kenneth Hostetler of Arthur, IL; two sons-in-law, Phillip Gingerich married to Lisa Yoder of Arthur, IL and Kenneth Helmuth married to Steffi Alohalani of Grayling Michigan; 36 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchild; one sister, Emma Hostetler, and one sister-in-law, Elmina Herschberger.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lizzie Ann, two daughters, Verba Gingerich and Rosa Helmuth, three grandsons, Willard Helmuth, twins, Lamar and Lavern Herschberger, his parents, four brothers, Jacob, Jonas, Melvin, and twin Eli, and two sisters, Amelia and an infant sister.

Levi J.D. was a member of the Old Order Faith.
