Levita Harner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral Home - Springdale on Nov. 26, 2025.
Levita Ann (Lane) Harner was born on September 5, 1943 in Springdale, AR to Harry Fred and Leona Belle Lane. She was the oldest of eight children. After a lengthy career in banking which began at McIlroy Bank in Fayetteville, Levita worked for First National Bank, First Security Bank and Signature Bank before retiring at 67.

Levita lived a full life devoted to her grandkids and everything they were ever involved in from recitals to graduations to weddings and great-grand babies. She cruised with them to the Caribbean and Mexico. Levita went on trips to Italy, Israel, Washington D.C. and New York City with her family. Levita with her sisters and mother traveled to Oregon, Tennessee and all around the South. She loved seeing new places with the people she loved. After suffering a major stroke in July 2011, she was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia which she dealt with for more than 14 years. Though robbed of many of her memories, she never forgot the names and faces of those dearests to her. She dealt with many falls, fractures and breaks while living at home and then in Assisted Living and the nursing home. After breaking her right hip and trying to recover, she passed away peacefully at age 82 on November 23, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was proceeded in death by both parents; her dear husband, Charles Richard Harner; one sister, Carolyn Jane.

Levita is survived by one daughter, Leona Lynn Bull (Carl) of Springdale; two granddaughters, Tiffany Bull and Kaitlyn Bull both of Springdale; one grandson, Justin Bull (Jennifer) of Garfield; two great-grandchildren, Harner Bull and Maisie Bull of Garfield; six siblings, Richard Lane (Carol), Danny Lane (Betty), Sharleen Thomas, Deonn Courtney, Ira Lane (Janice) all of Springdale and Lonnie Lane (Sharon) of Avoca; plus several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to sincerely thank all those who have loved our mother/grandmother as their own and helped care for her in her final years – her granddaughters Tiffany and Kaitlyn, Mrs. Connie French, her sisters Sharleen and Deonn, the wonderful staff at Azalea Commons Assisted Living (nurse Joyce and Ms. Mabel) and the caring staff at Windcrest Health and Rehab. We are grateful that she can now be at peace and return to her Savior and her dear Charles.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Springdale, Arkansas. Visitation starts one hour before the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Committal service to follow at Zion cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
