Lewis Clyde Graves

Lewis Clyde Graves Sr., 79, of McGehee, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1946, to his biological parents, Lewis C. Simpson and Hazel E. Dunbar. Lewis was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones and friends. He found great joy in gathering with those closest to him, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. An avid sports fan and admirer of classic western tv shows, Lewis especially enjoyed watching tv, keeping up with his favorite teams and programs. He will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet strength, and the presence he brought to the lives of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, Lewis C. Simpson; his father, Willie Dunbar; his mother; Hazel Dunbar;and his first wife, Johnnie Maude Tillman Graves. Lewis is survived by his wife of eight years, Cheryl Graves; his sons, Lewis (Sherita) Clyde Graves, Jr., and David Thomas; his daughter, Natasha (Kelley) Brown, Sr.; his sister, Tresa (Keith) Garrett; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Chapel.
