Lewis "Dale" Latham, 89, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Dale was born on May 9, 1936, in Clinton County, Kentucky, to the late Bill Edd & Georgie (Wells) Latham. A devoted member of Stoney Point Baptist Church, he lived his life with strong faith and a hardworking spirit. Dale enjoyed the simple pleasures of farming and horseback riding, and he took pride in the work he did throughout his career, including his time at the Somerset Mall, Winn-Dixie, and IGA.
He is survived by his son, Roger Dale Curry; a step-son, Roger Dale & (Barbara) Roberts; his brothers, Gene & (Ruth) Latham, Gary Latham, and Mitch & (Donna) Latham; a very special friend, Diane York; and several nieces and nephews.
In 2014, during a CT Scan an alert radiologist saw a spot on Dale's pancreas. Thanks to that radiologist, Dr. V, Dr. Oakes, and Dr. Twenz, Dale lived eleven years with just 40% of his pancreas. So miracles do happen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lanny Latham; his parents, Bill Edd & Georgie Latham; a sister, Linda Thomas; and a brother, William "Whiz" Latham.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.
Burial will be at Science Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time for services.
