Lewis Wayne Pratt, 81, born on May 5, 1944, in Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia where he was a resident at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. He was a devoted family man and cherished the time spent with his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 5, 2025 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. James Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Harding Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors rendered. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
David Renfroe, Jace Dininger, Ronald Cook, Matthew Crumley, Mike Crumley, Jeff Fulghum, Tony Turner and Mark Turner will serve as pallbearers. Former co-workers from Tift Regional Medical Center Lab from 1969 to 2012 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Lewis dedicated forty-three years of his life to his career as a Lab Technician at Tift Regional Medical Center, where he became a respected member of the medical community. His commitment to the field was further showcased through his involvement with the America Medical Technologist Association. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he served in Vietnam, embodying the spirit of patriotism that he held dear throughout his life.
He graduated high school and pursued further education at vocational school, establishing a foundation that would serve him well in his professional endeavors. His fellow parishioners at Harding Methodist Church of Tifton remember him as a dedicated member who contributed greatly to the congregation as long as his health allowed.
Lewis had many passions that enriched his life. He loved to travel, explore genealogy, delve into history, and was particularly fond of the eagle symbol, which resonated with his patriotic beliefs.
He is survived by his children, Alan W. Pratt of Tifton and Amy L. Pratt of St. Simon Island, Georgia; and his three sisters, Diane Bowman, Kay Renfroe and husband David, and Jenny Dininger.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lana Carol Cook Pratt; his father, John Elco Pratt; his mother, Fredia Rains Pratt; and his brother-in-law, Bill Bowman.
Lewis Wayne Pratt's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him, reflecting a life dedicated to family, service, and the values he held dear.
