Lewis Franklin Tripp

Benson:  Mr. Lewis Franklin Tripp, age 76, of 2176 NC Hwy 50 South passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2020 at Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church in Benson.  Officiating will be Rev. Scott Johnson. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson.           Mr. Tripp was born on June 18, 1943 in Harnett County to the late Carlie and Eunice Blackwell Tripp. He retired from Hamby Textiles in Erwin after 52 years of service and was a member of Stone's Creek Advent Christian Church. Mr. Tripp was a National Guard veteran and a member of the American Legion Banner Post 109 in Benson.             Surviving are wife of 56 years, Josephine Jones Tripp of  Benson; son, Kevin Lewis Tripp of Dunn; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Leigh Fitzgerald and husband, William, Hannah Morgan Tripp, Tyler Kevin Tripp; sisters, Marie Hardee of Dunn; Jean Cooper of Coats; Pat Davis and husband, Dick of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Ricky Tripp of Dunn; several nieces and nephews.            The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Stone’s Creek Advent Christian Church c/o Phyllis Barefoot 64 Wood's Crossroads Road Benson, NC 27504.             Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC 27504
