Licia Duryea Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All-States Cremation - Centennial on Mar. 12, 2026.
Licia Frances Duryea, 80, made her final celestial departure from this earth on February 4, 2026. She was born in New Jersey to Robert and Molly Duryea on December 8, 1945.

A lifelong learner, she earned a bachelor's degree from American University, a master's degree from the SUNY system, and a Ph.D. from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Licia's multifaceted career included teaching high school, teaching English as a second language, working in human resources for Boeing and the City of Seattle, and consulting in human resources around the United States.

While working and learning, in her spare time her favorite hobby was single-handedly rehabbing houses, including in the states of New York, Washington and Florida. This spirited, fun-loving and profound woman will be missed by wonderful friends as well as her children Joshua Cannon, Travis Cannon, and Rachel Cannon Crawford, daughter-in-law Jennifer Cannon and son-in-law Jim Crawford, and grandchildren Miles and Arianna Cannon, Lars Cannon, and Helena, Clementine, and Callum Crawford.
