Lidia Malinowski of Simi Valley, Ca went to be with our Lord and Savior November 14, 2025 at the age of 94. Lidia’s life was a life well lived, full of friends and family.
Lidia was born in Manhattan, NY to Charles and Louise Marghetich. She grew up in College Point, NY alongside her beloved sister Eleanor. She enjoyed summers riding her bike and enjoying the sun at Big Rock Beach Park; where she met her dear Eddie.
Lidia and Edward Malinowski were married on June 21 st 1952 during a beautiful ceremony at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in College point. Lidia and Eddie had two children (Steven and Louise) before making the journey in 1961 to settle their family in Encino, California for a job opportunity as an engineer at Grumman Aerospace. The family was struck by tragedy in 1977 with Eddie’s sudden passing of a heart attack at the young age of 51.
Lidia created a beautiful home and was lovingly devoted to raising her children. Lidia could often be found at a fabric store getting the latest fabric for clothes and other designs she lovingly made for her family and friends, making a home cooked meal to share or shopping at Macy’s for the latest bargains. She adored her Bonnie (a sheltie dog) that she lovingly trained and was her loyal companion. Lidia moved to Simi Valley in 1987 to be near her two children Steven and Louise.
Lidia is predeceased by her beloved father and mother (Charles and Louise), Her dear Eddie and her much adored sister Eleanor. Lidia is survived by her son Steven Malinowski (wife Laura) their children Kyle, Nicholas, Katie and Evelyn; and her daughter Louise (husband Joe May) and their children Christina and Nicole (husband Erick).
A service will be held in honor of her life on Tuesday, November 25 th at 10:30 am with reception and lunch to follow.
