Liesel Ann “Lisa” (Sellmer) LaMaster, age 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at her residence with her family by her side. Born on August 12, 1957 in Jeffersonville, she was the loving daughter of Robert Sellmer, Sr. and Judith (Dellinger) Mann.
Lisa was a 1974 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. She was united in marriage to William LaMaster, Sr. and they enjoyed 25 wonderful years together. This union was blessed with four children: William, Scott, Wendy, and Anya. She was very devoted to her husband and she had anxiously awaited being reunited with him for years. All throughout Lisa’s life, she babysat her grandchildren and their friends, being fondly known as Nana by many.
Lisa was a Christian by faith and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed bowling and traveling all around to Gatlinburg, Las Vegas, and anywhere on a cruise ship. She was an excellent cook and was known for her macaroni and cheese and chicken and noodles. Lisa was a spunky, soft-hearted, generous, fearless, and loyal woman who was kind to a fault and loved animals, especially her dog, Nova.
Her life will be cherished by her children: William LaMaster, Jr. of Scottsburg, Scott LaMaster and his wife, Lisa of Oklahoma, Wendy Cooper and her husband, Johnny of Austin, Indiana, and Anya Meadows and her husband, Billy of Lexington, Indiana; her mother: Judith (Dellinger) Mann of Jeffersonville; her brothers: Robert Sellmer II and his wife, Carla of Orange City, Florida, David Krebs and his wife, Sondra of Jeffersonville, and Todd Sellmer and his wife Donna, of Carlsbad, New Mexico; her sisters: Brenda Wyland and her husband, Jim of Jeffersonville, Lovette Hall and her husband, John of Underwood, Indiana, Lori Turner and her husband, Patrick of Columbus, Indiana, and Lana Mattingly and her husband, David of Oklahoma; 24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, as well as two great grandchildren who are on the way; her best friends and partners-in-crime, Debbie Lynn Sellmer and Jenna Boineau; and several nieces and nephews.
Lisa was preceded in death by her husband, William LaMaster, Sr.; her fathers: Robert Sellmer, Sr. and George F. Mann, Jr.; her mother: Mariann Sellmer; and her grandson: Jeremiah Barger.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Christensen-Hoagland Funeral Home, 80 North First Street, Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Pastor Gary Satterly will conduct funeral services at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the funeral home.
