Lila Gettings Obituary
Rosary will be 10:00 am, Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am, both on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Goddard, Kansas.
Lila was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She retired from Koch Industries after 30 plus years. She loved line dancing and aerobic dancing as well as playing bridge, going to the movies, traveling and spending time with her family.
Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Patrick Gettings, Jr.; daughter, Annette Catherine Gettings; parents, William and Regina Degenhardt; and brother, Randy Degenhardt.
She is survived by her daughters, Marie (Nick) Motowylak, Cindy (Mike) Solis; son, Frank (Sharry) Gettings III; granddaughters, Melissa Athie and Stacy Gettings; grandsons, Brian Gettings, Austin (Nicole) Solis, Nolan (Maggie) Solis and Briley Lewis; great-grandsons, Alfredo Athie, Remington Solis, Patrick Solis, AJ Solis and Quentin Solis; and sister, Caroline (Larry) Clark as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Holy Cross Charities, 1313 Steven Drive, Hays, Kansas 67601. Holy Cross Charities works to maintain the church building, grounds, and cemetery of Holy Cross Church in Pfeifer, Kansas.
