Lila Ingram Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Trinity Memorial Funeral Home - Muscle Shoals on Nov. 9, 2024.
Mother Lila Faye began life's journey on March 18, 1948, as the first born of three children to the late Archie B. and Bessie Wade Toney of Huntsville, Alabama. She peacefully departed this life and transitioned into Gods eternal rest on November 9, 2024, at her residence.
Lila Faye grew up in Huntsville and was a 1966 graduate of S.R. Butler High School, where she was a member and majorette of the BHS Marching Rebels. Lila Faye began her faith journey at Chelsea Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Huntsville, Alabama, where she confessed her belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Lila Faye met the LOVE of her life Bruce Ingram in Huntsville. They were soon united in Holy Matrimony and shared a life of love and loyalty for forty-nine years. They relocated to Sheffield, AL and later to Tuscumbia, AL. She became a member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Leighton, AL, where she served and remained a faithful member for over 50 years. She served on the Usher Board, Mothers Godly Women Board and participated in the Women Choir.
Lila Faye enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and listening to music both gospel and r &b. Al Green comes to mind, but Al was no match to that smooth silky graceful voice of ol' Bruce Ingram. What a time they're having now!!!
Lila Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Bruce Ingram, Sr.; her parents, Archie B. and Bessie Wade Toney; her sister, Judy Toney Kennemore.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
two sons, Terrence (Nicole) Ingram of Tuscumbia, AL; Bruce-T(Tian) Ingram, Jr. of Pelham, Al; one daughter Maurielle Ingram, Tuscumbia, AL; her brother, Charles Toney of Murfreesboro, TN; her aunt, Majorie Walker of Huntsville, AL; sisters-in-law; Carolyn Ingram, Elaine Ingram, Geraldine Ingram, Luvenia Ingram; brother-in-law; William Kennemore(Kiddie Bear); Grandchildren, Canisius (Dani-yelle), Fallon (Vallon), Tevin, Lil' Bruce, Gavin, Braxton, and Bailee; great grandchildren; Jeremiah, Caitlin, Christian, and Ariana;
