Lillian (Miner) Borsotti, 90, of Rocky Hill, CT, formerly of West Hartford and Hebron, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Born on December 1, 1934, in Nassau, NY, Lillian was the daughter of the late Ralph and Emma (Daniels) Miner. In 1956, she married the love of her life, the late George Emilio Borsotti. They shared 52 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2008. As difficult as it is to say goodbye, the family finds comfort in knowing that Lillian and George are reunited once again.
In her younger days, Lillian found joy in dancing at Miller Hall in Manchester and drive-in movies. Lillian dedicated many years to the West Hartford School System, working as a cook manager at Smith, Duffy and Morley Elementary Schools. Family was the center of Lillian’s life and she lovingly cared for her sister Betty in her final years–an act that spoke to her deeply nurturing and selfless nature.
Lillian will be forever loved and remembered by her children: Darlene Borsotti (David) of Rocky Hill; Steven (Carol) Borsotti of West Hartford; and Kevin (Corinne) Borsotti of Glastonbury. She is also survived by her two brothers, Lester (Barbara) Miner, and Ronald Miner-Hughes (Jason), all from Manchester; her seven beloved grandchildren—Jason (Caitlin), Miranda, Kristy (Michael), Carl (Bethany), Julie, Kelly, and Leslie; her great-grandchildren—Carter, Makenna, Piero, Umberto, Lanzo, Cade, Demi, and her loving dog, Lily; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her sister, Betty Cordani and her husband Bruno, and her brother, Ralph Miner, Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home. The following morning guests will gather at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM followed by a chapel service at the funeral home at 11 AM with burial to follow at the Gilead Cemetery in Hebron.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American School for the Deaf (ASD Museum) in West Hartford, CT or to a charity of one’s choice. To leave an online condolence please visit www.holmeswatkins.com
