Lillian A. Brune Lillian (nee Sturm) Brune of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born August 31, 1932 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Gerhard and Hilda (nee Kramp) Sturm and entered into rest Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the age of 92 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Raymond, her parents, Gerhard and Hilda (nee Kramp) Sturm; her siblings, Helen Lu Sturm & Herbert Sturm; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Thomas Kallial & Betty (Al) Grimm; and her dear friend, Roseann Robinson. She is survived by her children, David (Susan) Brune & Amy Brune (Dane Caritoni); grandchildren, Jacob and Kathryn; her unofficially adopted family, Jeff and Nissa Smith, along with their three children, Kane, Nathan, and Jesse Smith; sister-in-laws & brother-in-laws, Alma Sturm, Marie Kallial, Bernard Brune, Don (Marietta) Brune, Rita Henderson, Louise (Bernie) Oetjen; along with numerous other extended family and friends. She taught at several elementary schools before staying home to be a homemaker and mother and then worked at Our Lady Queen of Peace School as a substitute teacher and secretary. After she retired, she tirelessly volunteered for the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, serving various times as treasurer and president. She was a devout Catholic, a loving wife, mother, and aunt. She enjoyed music, musical theater, spent many hours embroidering and loved spending time with family. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 4696 Notre Dame Dr, House Springs, MO 63051. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made on behalf of Lillian Brune to The Peace Pantry in Cedar Hill, Missouri.
